Land Rover Defender TDCi Servicing/Service

The Defender diesel TDCi (2007 onwards ) should be serviced every 12,000 miles or every 12 months, which ever comes sooner.


The service schedule is split into A service and a B service.


The 12,000 mile or 12 month service is an A service.

The 24,000 mile or 24 month service is a B service.


In addition to the standard A and B services there are a few other items which need replacing at fixed intervals, these are:

  • Check/adjust steering box every 36,000 miles
  • Check/tighten engine/transmission mounts every 36,000 miles
  • Transfer box oil renewal every 48,000 miles
  • Differential oil renewal every 48,000 miles
  • Coolant requires replacing every 120,000 miles
  • Gearbox oil renewal every 120,000 miles
  • Ancillary driving belt requires replacement every 120,000 miles



All servicing is carried out in accordance with Land Rover Servicing schedules, of which you will receive a copy upon completion. We use a minimum of OEM filters, with the option to upgrade to Genuine filters if required.
